My name is Mette Klint, and I am an award-winning fine art photographer based near Roskilde, Denmark. I hold a degree in Architectural Technology and Construction Management and work as a Construction Manager. My photographic journey began in 2014, when I bought my first camera, and I completed my photography studies at KPP in 2023.
Photography has changed the way I see the world. I am drawn to both architecture and flowers, two seemingly different subjects that share a visual language of form, structure, rhythm and contrast. In my architectural photography, I explore the interplay of geometry, light and shadow, looking beyond documentation to reveal balance, depth and quiet emotion. In my flower photography, I am captivated by organic forms, delicate details, fragile strength and untamed beauty.
Although my subjects differ, the same curiosity guides my work. I strive for harmonious compositions and explore the relationship between light and shadow, softness and strength, feminine and masculine qualities. I am fascinated by the contrasts that exist in the world around us, where elegance meets chaos, serenity meets wildness, and delicate beauty holds an unexpected strength.
Photography is my sanctuary. When I am behind the camera, time slows down, the noise of everyday life fades, and I find myself in a state of creative flow. It is a place where I can simply be, offering a welcome contrast to the structure and demands of my professional life in the construction industry.
I have always been curious about the world and love travelling with my camera, discovering new places and finding inspiration in unfamiliar surroundings. Yet I also cherish the feeling of returning home.
Through my photography, I express how I experience the world. My work is a personal exploration of nature and architecture, their beauty, their contrasts and their poetry — from quiet elegance to untamed wildness.
